What educators are saying

We had so much fun with this. We used with our novel study. I can not wait to use it again this year.

Description

Mexican loteria is a wonderful, traditional card game similar to bingo. (It uses images instead of numbers). Loteria is also a form of folk art, as each of the colorful cards has an image of popular Mexican figures including "el catrín" (the gentleman), "el cantarito" (the water pitcher), "la calavera" (the skull), "la muerte" (death), etc. Great fun for any Spanish class.

This packet contains:

1. A one page reading about Mexican Lotería (novice high and above level of proficiency)

2. T/F reading comprehension activity (2 versions of it)

3. 54 cards with images only

4. 54 cards with images and descriptions for the "gritón" (teacher) to read

5. 32 player cards or tablas

6. Game explanation with 9 options on how to mark the card to win

OJO: Time for printing, cutting, and laminating will be needed when buying this "lotería". Also, color printing is needed. Please keep this in mind when purchasing this product!

OJO: Some of the cards are different from the traditional set. If you would like a list of the cards, please feel free to send me an email.
